Phil + Terry’s E-Session!

December 29, 2009

This was my last session for 2009, so you know we had to go out with a bang. I couldn’t have asked to end the year with a more perfect couple. As photographers, we have to bring out the love and the passion in each couple so that it transpires through their photographs. This session was the complete opposite, I actually had to try to tone it down a little for them. Phil & Terry showed more love within the first 5 minutes of their session then most average couples would show in a 2 hour session. Maybe it was because we started the session off at the same exact spot that Phil proposed to Terry? I don’t know, but I definitely felt something in the air the entire 2 hours. I would like to think that we survived the session because their love kept us warm in what felt like 10 degs temperature. =) Terry, I don’t know how you made it seem like we took these photos in August, but you definitely pulled it off! =) Congratulations guys!
2010… HERE WE COME!!!! =)

I had the pleasure of meeting David and Thuy in their homes a few months ago. The first thing I noticed was a picture of their two adorable sons wearing Saints jerseys. Now David and I are regular texting buddies during Saints game. This story would be pretty irrelevant if we didn’t have to reschedule our photo session FOUR TIMES, but it’s kinda funny how things work out. We just happened to pick a day where we would run into Sean Payton tossing the pigskin with his son. To say that we were stoked to meet the head coach of the New Orleans Saints is an understatement. Now I don’t want to take anything away from David and Thuy’s post wedding session. David came out blazing with a bow tie, and Thuy fell right into my poses from the get go. So after about 2 minutes of posing, I decided to turn this into a high fashion wedding session. They did not let me down, you can feel the passion and fire in every pose. Can you say… Magazine Ads? =)

I’ve done my fair share of chasing around energetic kiddies. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve photographed a child where the mom didn’t warn about how playful her son was and that I was going to have to earn my money. So, when Linh gave me the same warning, I shrugged it off like all of my other “mommy” warnings. Hah! I shouldn’t have taken this warning so lightly! Carter was a ball of energy! I don’t think he was idle for more then 3 seconds at a time the entire shoot hehehe. It was the fastest hour I’ve ever spent at a park. His energy shows in his smiles though, and mommy had him dressed SOOO cute.
Meet… Phi, Linh, &… Carter!
